Full Moon
“It is because I dove into the abyss that I am beginning to love the abyss I am made of..”
Clarice Lispector
After a long year of seclusion, I have felt an urge to rise from my nest and discover the hidden paths that beckon.
Last night, I attended a Full moon ceremony hosted by new friends in their beautiful abode.
Rain pattered against the large skylight windows, even a frog croaking outside in the background. Natures atmospheric sounds...
I began to transport myself into the guided vision of his words.
As he noted, we all carry a divine masculine and feminine within us.
He asked, What feelings come up when thinking of masculine and feminine energy?
At times, I hesitate to think too far into these concepts… But I took it in, carefully observing the duality of these energies.
Masculine – The first image that came up is a man’s arms around me… Offering protection, strength, guidance.
Feminine – She is playful, sensitive,
passionate, sensual... maintaining balance - holding the fertility of all life.
This was a natural depiction of what those entities meant to me.
Further on, we started our sound journey.
Singing bowls, koshi chimes, chi gong, and Chilean drumstick vibrated throughout my body.
All of which felt primal and familiar.
Tears streamed down my eyes, with much contemplation...
I felt vulnerable...
I have felt in these last months, the sheddings of old layers...
Layers that no longer serve my journey.
Sometimes, we can forget who we are under those small, yet insidious fears that dwell in our subconscious...
When we meet upon kindred souls, whether friend, lover, or family (even strangers)… It is a reunion with oneself again.
Life has a funny way of showing us our magic.
As long as we carry kindness, thoughtfulness, compassion and love,
The universe will always give us what is meant for our path.
